CONCERT SCHEDULE
Aston Magna Turns 40
Aston Magna’s Gala concert puts the Festival’s best musical foot forward, presenting Baroque repertoire that is prized, not only by our audiences, but by our artists, as well.
2012 SEASON
Music of three Bachs and Villa Lobos
Come and wonder at J.S. Bach in context: works by a predecessor, a descendant, and a Brazilian master of the 20th century, all underline the composer’s remarkable achievements.
Gran Partita, Mozart’s Winds III
Two masterpieces by W.A. Mozart frame a piano quartet by a possible, but relatively unknown, acquaintance: Czech composer Franz Krommer. Also starring two of Mozart’s favorite instruments—clarinet and piano.
Baroque á l’italienne
An eclectic program of Baroque instrumental and vocal chamber music from sundry corners of Baroque Europe culminates in a delightful comedy by the amazingly productive Telemann.
