Dear Friends,
With a coronavirus vaccine now on the move, we at Aston Magna feel cautiously optimistic that we will be performing for you once again next summer. That is, indeed, promising news!
We are planning a varied and beautiful early music festival for 2021, with works from such greats as Bach, Purcell, Monteverdi, Scarlatti and Handel. Dan is assembling a roster of extraordinary artists to provide memorable musical experiences for you.
There is still scant Baroque (or earlier) music performed in our region’s larger summer festivals during the summer — not to mention on period instruments — at such an acclaimed high level. Aston Magna has been filling this void since 1972!
To ensure that we can plan for live music’s return next summer, we are asking for your support while we finalize our plans and make our preparations. This has been a long, lonely and difficult road the past nine months, and the next few months may yet be challenging. But we are looking ahead to the summer and celebrating our 49th anniversary year with you.
