Aston Magna’s artistic director and baroque violinist Daniel Stepner made good use of his isolation during Covid-19, diving even deeper into the world of J.S. Bach. Listen, learn and enjoy as Dan takes you on his journey through a Bach fugue, with his own unique commentary, context and good humor.

Says Dan:

“My personal project during the early pandemic was videoing myself playing Bach fugues. This gave rise to thoughts about the remarkable phenomenon of FUGUE, that uniquely musical practice. Here is the result: my musings followed by one of Bach’s solo violin fugues.”
